OLIVE BAR & KITCHEN

I am a big foodie and I love to experience different cuisine, enjoy the ambiance and hospitality in different restaurants. So I frequently check burrp.com to know new and good restaurants in town, then try out the places. I happened to read about the Olive Beach Restaurant with very good reviews by people and the pictures quite enticed me. One fine night I went to Olive Beach with my hubby. We had a bit of confusion while searching the restaurant but at last we found it.

The restaurant has blue gate and at night is not really visible. Once I entered inside the gate, I felt I'm in some other place other than Bangalore. Everything inside is in white with touch of blue. With candle in each table, it made the whole surrounding perfect to spend time with your loved one.
This is the Bar area and it is perfect to sit around and relax with friends and have a good conversation.

WHAT DECOR U'R

We all want to decorate our home in a glamorous and stylist way. Every individual's house and room has its own style and glam in it. A room tells about self to us without speaking a word. That is called the color language.

Many people get confuse when they start decoration their rooms or house. Even some start filling the space  without knowing what exactly they want . As a result, the room looks very clumsy. As a decorator, here I'm sharing some of the ideas which will definitely help you to make your room into our own space.

Take inspiration from the 1950s, combine the wooden furniture with graphic prints in steel grey and mustard yellow --- Retro Living Room.

HERITAGE CITY --- MYSORE

+Mysore is the heritage and cultural city of India and ever since I came to +Bangalore, I wanted to visit it. Finally the day has arrived when my co traveler said to me " Lets go to Mysore this weekend". I was super excited when we started in morning around 5 am. The road was too good to drive on it. On the way to Mysore there are many places to see, spend time and one of them is Wonderla. I have not yet been there but I will. Other then that I saw the direction for Innovative film city. While moving towards Mysore I also crossed Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary and Ramnagaram.

Around 7:30 am we reached Mysore and had our breakfast - Poori Sabji. After finishing our breakfast, we went to see +St.Philomena's Church, which was constructed in 1936. We went inside the church and attended the program for some time, then we came out .

SUR.............PRISE

I love surprise, I doubt who doesn't.. Well if it is a birthday surprise then what to say. Well my b'day is in next 10 days. I spend my whole time trying to think, what is my husband up-to for my b'day or how am I going to spend my day? Well I have a lot of plans but don't know which one will materialize.

It reminds me of my husband's b'day last year. I know it is kind of late to write about but it is one of my good memories which I want to share. I always get excited to plan and give surprise to others and all I wait is to see their impromptu face. He had his office a day before as well as on his b'day so I had a limited time to celebrate and surprise him.

I wanted to make the place cozy and nice so I had chosen the big balcony area for decoration. I went to +Daily Bread  to get the cake and I strictly gave certain instruction for the decoration of cake. Then I went to +HyperCITY  to get candles and balloons and also the items I would be requiring for preparing dinner.

I have already made plan with a friend so that he calls my husband out and keep him busy till midnight and so it happens. And when they returned, this is how we celebrated ......

STRATEGY FOR DECORATING U'R HOME

It is an exciting time when we move to a new house or when festival arrives. However, in most instances we want to do some changes, add new colors and our own character to it. The urge of redecorating, to changes makes us busy but I suggest to sit peacefully and observe the area and plan carefully first.

The first step is to have a look how much you want or is available to spend. If you have a large property then analyze whether your budget is enough for entire house or not. And if the answer is no, then decide  which room need decorating and what item you require to achieve the desire look. Do a little browsing online or visit home decor stores in your city to get an    rough price of each item and room as a whole.

Mostly a  home maker decides to work with the drawing room, dining room, bedroom. Start working on the most important room first and do not let yourself distract by other rooms until it is complete. Otherwise you will likely to end up starting several rooms and without finishing any one of them. It is much more satisfying to get onto next room after finishing one completely.

A DAY OUT.......BANGALORE

Every weekend I look for places to go out of the city and see something new. Last week I had searched some place and decided visit Ramnagar...... a famous village from a legendary movie Sholay, but at last moment due to my health we couldn't go but then I decided to see the city and explore its beauty.

Sunday was a pleasant day and we left after having breakfast at around 11 am. +Bangalore City has many places to see, it is aptly known as city of gardens and has many art galleries, museums, malls to see. I don't like malls to hangout, its best only to shop.

The first place we visited was -Bugle Rock, in +Basavanagudi. It is a massive rock with an estimated age of 3000 million years. This park is located in the back side of the +temple Bull, which is again a place to see. This temple is dedicated to Nandi bull, the vahana (vehicle) of Lord Shiva. Back to Bugle rock..... it is a lush green park with birds chirping incessantly, making you feel close to nature.
